Samantha's Return to Honduras

Please help me raise money for my service trip to Honduras with Students Helping Honduras, an organization hoping to build one thousand schools in Honduras! This winter, I will be traveling back to Honduras for the third time with the Maryland chapter of SHH.
Together with the local Hondurans, I will be helping to build a school for a village in need. SHH’s mission is to alleviate poverty and gang violence in Honduras through youth empowerment and education. Honduras is now home to the city with the highest murder rate in the world, and the gang epidemic is creating a constant cycle of violence and poverty. The way out of this vicious cycle is through education, and SHH is working towards this goal by building schools throughout the rural part of western Honduras. I can attest to the great motivation of this organization through my first-hand experience these past two years in Honduras. I would like to be able to travel back and see what I can contribute again, and I would like to see the second school school I broke ground on inaugurated! Seeing a completed school after breaking ground and fundraising for its completion is a truly incredible experience. Here is a picture of the completed school that I began construction on in January of 2018!
Growing up, education was a very important thing to my family, and I have often found myself taking my opportunities for granted. I would like to be a part of a movement to offer education to all children.
