Samari Ali's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Samari age 18 is a straight A student who not only graduated high school but also obtained her associates degree from Seattle Central on June 18th 2020, now attending Arizona State . Exactly a year later, On June 18th 2021 our family received an emergency call that our Daughter and Sister was shot during a random shooting in South Seattle near Henderson.
During the shooting Samari and her boyfriend (the driver) were hit leaving them both in need of emergency transport. Upon arrival to the Hospital Samari underwent emergency surgery in order to stop the bleeding and retrieve the bullet still inside her body. Samari's surgery resulted in her losing a kidney and an expert recommendation that the bullet would cause further damage and possible paralyze Samari if removed. The doctors decided it would be best not to remove the bullet but informed my family that with proper care she would make a full recovery.
Samari has a long road ahead , as of yet we have not received any information from detectives or authorities about the shooting or any ongoing investigations. Any information would be helpful. Samari has now been in the hospital nearly a week with limited mobility, no discharge date has been given. We would like to share her journey for the world to see that no weapon formed against her shall prosper and that she will have a full recovery! We are seeking support for recovery costs, lost wages and soaring medical expenses. No amount is too small, we appreciate the many calls , messages and worlds of encouragement. God blessed my baby, she is still here with us!
Sister Asia-
Samari is the light to my life , She's our youngest sibling , she's our baby ! My sister didn't deserve this , but yet she's fighting for her life & still staying positive about all of this ! And also stated that she forgives whoever has did this to her but just wants everyone to STOP GUN VIOLENCE ! We ask anyone who wants to help with a donation as she is still fighting to get better , staying strong , and being very brave through this whole process. We really appreciate all the support, help , and love from you all ! As her older sister the greatest thing for me is that my sister is still on this earth ! As she starts her road to recovery ️ she will greatly appreciate all the love .
Thank you ,
Asia Ali
