Lieve vrienden, familie en gulle gevers,

Wij, 2 zusjes, Claire (32) en Odette (27) stappen met moeite over onze schaamte heen maar hebben heel hard hulp nodig en wij willen graag een beroep doen op jullie vrijgevigheid voor ons.

Wij gaan momenteel door een zeer zware periode.

In 2022 verloren wij onverwachts onze vader na een kort ziekbed van 6 maanden. Helaas net 1 jaar na het overlijden van onze vader, werd ook onze moeder plotseling ziek. Ook zij had een kort, maar zeer intens ziekbed. Na slechts 5 maanden kwam ook zij te overlijden. Of dat niet zwaar genoeg is is ook, een maand na mama’s overlijden, onze opa gestorven. In anderhalf jaar tijd zijn wij onze dierbaarste personen verloren. Dit verlies is onbeschrijfelijk zwaar, tijd om te verwerken was er amper. Nu pas zouden we kunnen beginnen aan ons rouwproces. Alleen ook dat wordt nu overschaduwd.

Naast het immense verdriet, worden wij nu ook geconfronteerd met financiële onzekerheden en tegenslagen.

We proberen momenteel de eindjes aan elkaar te knopen en zijn druk bezig met regelen om een hypotheek te krijgen op het ouderlijk huis, zodat wij daar in ieder geval geen afstand van hoeven te doen en niet op straat komen te staan. Dit huis zit vol met 30 jaar herinneringen aan onze ouders en onze jeugd, het is voor ons een veilige haven die we nu harder nodig hebben dan ooit.

Wie zijn wij...

Claire, de oudste zus, werkt in de makelaardij voor kantoren en woont in een prachtig appartement midden in het centrum van Rotterdam. Om ervoor te zorgen dat zij en Odette het ouderlijk huis kunnen behouden, heeft Claire besloten haar geweldige stekje in Rotterdam op te zeggen en zal binnenkort terugverhuizen naar het ouderlijke huis. Dit is de enige manier waarop ze financieel het huis kunnen behouden.

Odette, de jongste, heeft een auto-immuunziekte en zit momenteel in een re-integratietraject van de Wajonguitkering. Ondanks haar ziekte probeert ze te studeren en zal ze haar diploma behalen op de Pabo, Vanwege de zorg voor onze moeder en opa moest ze haar studie tijdelijk op pauze zetten. Als alles goed gaat zal zij haar studie met ingang van het nieuwe schooljaar weer oppakken. Odette heeft haar ervaringen vastgelegd in TikTok-video's waarin ze openhartig vertelt over haar rol als mantelzorger en de uitdagingen die ze tegenkomt.

Elke donatie, groot of klein, kan voor ons een groot verschil maken. Het geld zal worden gebruikt om ons te helpen ons leven weer in balans te krijgen. We zullen het gebruiken als start om de financiële lasten, zoals hypotheekakte, erfbelasting, notaris kosten, uitvaartkosten en andere noodzakelijke uitgaven te betalen. Daarnaast is er ook veel achterstallig onderhoud in het huis zoals een badkamer met diverse lekkages waardoor deze eigenlijk volledig gerenoveerd dient te worden dan is er ook nog een verzakte achtertuin die hard nodig opgeknapt dient te worden. Het huis is onze haven, maar wel een haven met gebreken, we willen er graag onze veilige haven van maken. Door alle kleine beetjes dat u kunt missen kunnen wij wat ademruimte krijgen om ons verlies te verwerken zonder dat we ons constant zorgen te hoeven maken over de woonplek en de financiële lasten.

We hopen dat jullie met ons willen samenkomen om ons te steunen in deze moeilijke tijd. Jullie vrijgevigheid zal ons niet alleen materieel ondersteunen, maar ook laten zien dat we niet alleen zijn in ons verdriet.

Dear friends, family, and generous benefactors, We, two sisters, Claire (32) and Odette (27), are reluctantly overcoming our shame to ask for your generosity and support. We are currently going through an incredibly difficult time. In 2022, we lost our father unexpectedly after a short illness of six months. Unfortunately, just one year after our father's passing, our mother also fell ill suddenly. She too had a brief but intense illness, and after only five months, she passed away. As if that wasn't enough, a month after our mother's passing, our grandfather also died. In a span of one and a half years, we lost our dearest loved ones. The grief is indescribably heavy, and we barely had time to process it. Only now can we start our mourning process, but even that is overshadowed. In addition to the immense grief, we are also facing financial uncertainties and setbacks. We are currently struggling to make ends meet and are working hard to secure a mortgage on our parental home, so we don't have to part with it and end up on the street. This house is filled with 30 years of memories of our parents and our childhood. It is a safe haven for us, one that we need more than ever. Who we are... Claire, the older sister, works in real estate for office buildings and lives in a beautiful apartment in the center of Rotterdam. To ensure that she and Odette can keep the parental home, Claire has decided to give up her wonderful place in Rotterdam and will soon move back to the family home. This is the only way they can financially keep the house. Odette, the younger sister, has an autoimmune disease and is currently in a reintegration program for the Wajong benefit. Despite her illness, she is trying to study and will earn her diploma at the Pabo. Due to caring for our mother and grandfather, she had to temporarily pause her studies. If all goes well, she will resume her studies at the start of the new school year. Odette has documented her experiences in TikTok videos, where she openly shares about her role as a caregiver and the challenges she faces. Every donation, big or small, can make a huge difference for us. The money will be used to help us get our lives back on track. We will use it to cover financial burdens such as the mortgage deed, inheritance tax, notary fees, funeral expenses, and other necessary costs. Additionally, there is a lot of overdue maintenance in the house, such as a bathroom with several leaks that need a complete renovation, and a sunken backyard that desperately needs repair. The house is our haven, but it is a haven with defects. We want to turn it into a safe haven. Any small amount you can spare will give us some breathing space to process our loss without constantly worrying about our living situation and financial burdens.
