Funeral for Samira Azar

Update: My mother passed peacefully early Saturday morning, April 22. She is with God now - thank you for your continued prayers and support.

Dearest Family and Friends,

As some of you may already know my mother, Samira Azar, has been battling Small Cell Carcinoma, lung cancer, for well over a year. Last summer, after 6 months of chemo and radiation our family was hopeful that my mom would be able to get better, recover and continue to be the strong, beautiful woman that we all know and love. Late last year a scan confirmed our worst fear, the chemo and radiation were not effective in keeping the cancer from growing and spreading. Even though she remains beautiful and strong she will not recover from the cancer. My mom has been at an inpatient facility on hospice since March 7th & sadly does not have much time left. She has declined rapidly in the last 24 hours. It is with deep sorrow that I ask you to donate to help fund a funeral service for my mom. If you are able to donate, your kindness and support would mean the world to us during this difficult time.
