Help Sami regain his freedom and quality of life from SCI

Hi, I am turning to you with a kind request for help. 1 year ago, Sami was going to perform a serious step in his work, due to a lack of work safety, a 900 kg wall fell on him, which led to a spinal cord injury. Such physical and psychological trauma causes life to change in a way that is hard to imagine. As a former bodybuilder, exercise and physical activity were a central part of life and identity. Now, after the injury, Sami struggles with pain, limited movement and a sense of having lost himself.

The injury has not only affected physical health, but has also taken away the freedom to walk and live an active life and negatively affected both body image, self-confidence and relationships.

Unfortunately, the insurances do not cover the costs of the alternative treatments that would be needed for improved recovery, nor does the workplace take full responsibility in supporting Sami in this difficult situation, leading to feelings of helplessness and frustration.

With the help of fundraising, the opportunity is given to be able to access rehabilitation and stem cell treatment that can help to regain better well-being both physically and mentally. The goal is to reach 28 000€ to cover the cost of flights and 2 week stem cell treatment to be able to start the road to recovery.

We are raising money to enable stem cell therapy in Bangkok, where a team of experienced doctors has judged this treatment to be essential in improving both motor and sensory functions. The stem cell therapy can potentially restore damaged nervous systems and give a chance for increased mobility and a better quality of life.
