On October 4th, 2024, an 11-year-old girl and a 50-year-old man were shot while setting up for a 3-year-old's birthday party. They were blowing up balloons and getting everything ready, and suddenly, bullets went into the house, hitting Sa’miya Lee McClaim, piercing her in the heart. The bullets also hit Ron Tate. 2 days later, they were announced dead.
