Sammy Butler lost her battle with mental illness on September 9, 2022, at the age of 26. She is survived by her parents, Jason and Sabrina Butler; brothers, Brad, Dakota, and Tristan; sister, Cheyenne; grandparents, Rex and Keena Butler and Terri and Don Peebles; and many other family members and loved ones. Sammy is reunited with her brother Colby and grandma Vickie Butler.
Sammy was born in Provo, UT and raised in Payson, UT. She graduated from Payson High School in 2015 and was working at USIC Locating Services. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed drawing, reading, hunting, anime, sushi, and video games. You could almost always find Sammy with a Dr Pepper in her hand. She loved spending time with her brothers, watching shows and doing her favorite hobbies. She loved Japan and was saving up for a trip to Tokyo.
Sammy loved her family fiercely. She was their ‘Lulu’ and always told her mom that she loved her more. When her mom would reply that she loved her more, Sammy would tell her to ‘say it right,’ and her mom would say ‘probably.’ When you saw Sammy, she would always give you a big hug. She was the most giving and loving person and was a friend to everyone she met.
Memorial service details will be shared soon. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to help her family with the costs of giving her a celebration of life. Venmo donations can be sent to @Sabrina-Butler-16.
