Sammy Elizabeth Apert Syndrome
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Linda and I am starting this fundraiser for my Nephew and Niece who welcomed a beautiful baby girl, my Great Niece, Sammy Elizabeth. Sammy was born 5 weeks early and was diagnosed with Apert Syndrome.
Apert Syndrome is a genetic disorder that occurs in 1 of 65,000-88,000 births and causes premature closure of the bones in the skull. This early fusion prevents the skull from growing normally and affects the shape of the head and face. In addition, a varied number of toes and fingers are fused together.
There is no cure for Apert Syndrome, but numerous surgical procedures and reconstructive surgeries will be required.
I am hoping to raise funds for my Nephew and Niece in order to help out with their medical needs as well as the extra living expenses they will encounter.
This will he a long road for them all, but with their faith in God and support from family and friends, they will be able to make it through this long and incredibly wonderful but difficult journey with Sammy.
