Sammy Garza Gonzalez Funeral expenses

To family, friends and the community, we need your help to cover the funeral expenses to get Little Sammy to his final resting place.

 

Saturday night, May 7th, 2022, our beloved nephew, brother, grandson, husband, cousin, and friend Sammy, age 24, lost his life to a senseless act of violence in Tacoma, Washington. Sammy was in a car with his wife, cousin and two kids in the back seat when he was fatally shot. Thank God no one else was injured, especially the little ones in the backseat. His life was taken too soon.

 

My sister Elisa has lost her son the night before Mother’s Day, and it has been devastating to all of us. Our Mother’s Day will never be the same because we will never forget that little Sammy’s life was taken away. My sister Elisa was already dealing with a lot, and to make things worse. Another tragedy occurred in December of 2021 that left her husband Big Sam in Palliative Care at her home. So then, little Sammy had to be the sole provider for the home because his father could no longer work, and his mom couldn’t work to take care of his dad.

 

My beloved nephew was born in Merced, Ca. He had plans. He was already going to apply for Financial Aid to take welding classes; he wanted to fix his old cars to flip them to make a profit. He was currently working as a CNA at Tacoma Nursing & Rehab, where all his patients loved him at the facility. The director says that all will miss him. He loved hearing the music of all genres. He was like a dictionary when it came to music. He always had a big smile and a kind heart and made you laugh. We have lost someone truly special to the whole family.
