Sammy Rosenblatt Memorial and Scholarship Fund

Sammy passed away early Saturday morning, March 16, 2019 from an opioid overdose after an almost 5 year battle with substance abuse. He was incredibly talented and will be missed terribly by all his family and friends.

We, his family, are organizing events to
honor his memory and celebrate his life.   Donations will be used for his memorial as well as to fund an exhibition of his work, an art scholarship in his name and a donation to an opioid addiction foundation to support others battling this disease. 

So many loved him and will miss him.

This campaign was started by the family of Sam Rosenblatt: Lisa Pressman (mother), Jay Rosenblatt (father), and Alex Rosenblatt (brother) on behalf of Sammy's friends, family, and loved ones.  We live in New Jersey and California. 

We are still finalizing plans for the funds but our initial plan is:
- Donations to Shatterproof.org and Trans advocacy groups
- Memorial costs
- Establishing Scholarship at West Orange High School
- Sammy Rosenblatt Archive (preservation, printing, and archiving)
- Sammy Rosenblatt Opiate Advocacy event(s)
