Sammy, shot, help save his leg

Yesterday at noon  Sammy the wondercat  went out the cat door as he often does and when he returned a few minutes later,  he could not lift his back left leg.  After taking Sammy to the hospital, x-rays showed a pellet bullet had fractured his left femur. Someone in our neighborhood shot the sweetest, most loving cat.   Sammy is currently in  surgery getting his leg repaired to ensure he can have the best quality of life. The other option was to amputate up to the hip. Sammy's surgeon believes he will make a full recover. Surgery will cost over $6,000. Please help Sammy get the spring back in his step, anything helps.
