Sam's Meals For Many 2020
Donation protected
What started from a challenge to pay it forward from my Sunday School teachers in 6th grade has turned into so much more thanks to your generosity and commitment to help me serve the Sam’s Meals for Many families.
For the last four Christmas seasons, we have been able to provide multiple balanced meals for over the Christmas break from school to families in need from the Lake Park-Audubon School District. Last year, 50 families received the Sam’s Meals for Many meal boxes packed by our amazing volunteers. Because of you, 223 people were able to be well fed with balanced meals for over the Christmas break.
In the middle of a pandemic, we still need to figure out a way to serve our families.
This year’s meal pack must be different due to our current global circumstances. For 2020, Sam’s Meals for Many not only wants to provide 50 or more families with meals for over Christmas break, but we also want to support small businesses in the restaurant industry who have been impacted greatly due to COVID-19. Instead of purchasing all the food in bulk and packing the food boxes this year, we will be using your cash donations to pay for and distribute meal kits created by local restaurants. We will then arrange for safe pickup of the meal kits by our families. This will alleviate the challenges of safe food packing as a large group during COVID-19.
Please consider a cash donation to Sam’s Meals for Many as we start our 2020 fundraising campaign. Our goal is a big one this year--$25,000. These dollars will go directly back into the community by providing for our neighbors while also helping our area small businesses survive.
We thank you in advance for your continued support of this important mission.
