Samson Strings, born Samson K. Mukisa, is a Ugandan gospel singer-songwriter, harpist, and music producer. His faith, affirmed at age nine, nurtured his musical steps through his home church, Sonship Ministries Busega. With the support of Directors Paul and Molly Wasswa, Samson attended New Kabale Busega P/S, Lubiri SS, and later Makerere University.
In 2012, Ronald Kayiza, a friend from the Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir introduced Samson to the Adungu (bow harp) igniting a passion that would shape his artistic path. Mastering the instrument and refining his musical art with precious listener feedback, Samson has captivated audiences with a spiritual sound that is both traditional and contemporary.
His 2022 premier on the Talk-The-Walk Show led to his first sponsored live performance and the 2024 release of his debut single, “Ye Mukama Ow’ekisa.” The official launch of his unique bow-harp-infused sound cements his stage name and advances his philanthropic mission.
If you're blessed with what you listened to and your spirit does not remain the same, you're closer to letting the world hear more of this music and, in the same vein, supporting a child in need. Your support and our royalties help with music production and provide for the scholastic needs of disadvantaged children in Uganda.
Samson co-founds Nedispo Foundation, an upcoming nonprofit organisation in Uganda, that aims to provide educational support to needy and disadvantaged primary school-going children in the Pearl of Africa. All funding received is channelled through our supportive UK Partner, The Prosper Foundation, steered by Prosper Richard Tamale. Samson sings to serve the LORD, as freely we were given, and so freely we give. Make your donation today!
