Samuel McPaul
Donation protected
I have started this Gofundme Campaign for the family of Samuel McPaul, a NSW RFS volunteer firefighter who has died near Jingellic whilst fighting a fire and protecting his community.
Samuel McPaul, 28, died yesterday after his truck flipped in the Green Valley blaze in Jingellic, 70 kilometres east of Albury near the NSW-Victoria border.
The NSW RFS said in a statement, strong winds lifted the vehicle and caused it to land on its roof. "Samuel McPaul was involved in a freakish weather event that involved extreme strong winds that lifted a 10-tonne appliance off the ground, ""This trapped all three members of the crew." It said Mr McPaul died, the driver sustained minor burns and a third member received serious burns and was airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
Samuel leaves behind a Wife, who is pregnant with their first child, as well as a large network of family, friends, and fellow Firefighters.
I am not personally acquainted with the McPaul family, but will be donating funds raised to them to assist with future costs that will arise from Samuels untimely death.
I have recently run a campaign to raise funds for the families of 2 other Fire Fighters who were killed in the line of duty. Geoffrey Keaton & Andrew O'Dwyer. This campaign is still active also. The donations from that campaign are in the process of being transfrered to the families.
A Personal message to Samuels family, Please accept our countries condolences on your loss.
A Personal message to his fellow Brigade members, We thank you for you valuable service.
