Statistics from a study in Russia showed outcomes for young adults leaving the institutional care system:

1 in 3 became homeless
1 in 5 committed crimes
1 in 7 became a prostitute
1 in 10 committed suicide
(this pattern reoccurs in similar statistics worldwide)

After the success of the Dear Panama film I directed in 2012 (legislation change in the country took place making it easier for children to get out of institutions and into families) I'm aiming once again to be a voice for children living in the hardest conditions and see a paradigm shift towards looking after our children in families.

Your financial support will make it possible to me to continue volunteering with the 5 others from the Eloy Team where I will continue to tour the film through 2016. Everything is voluntary and the film is totally not for profit but for advocacy. Your financial support will help me in taking the film around the world on our film tour.  The documentaries powerful message will bring many children from institutions into the arms of loving families.

'Lost Kites? / Synopsis

“LOST KITES” follows a young film team seeking answers to the global orphan crisis, and end up meeting three kids who change their lives. Caught in street life, orphanage care, and abandonment by heart defect, these three must face mountainous challenges. But the team finds hope in a powerful family-based model that will forever change the way we view orphan care.
