Samuel-Spruce’s Service Dog Prospect

Howdy!

My name is Samuel-Spruce and I am 19 years old. I am not fully comfortable disclosing all of my issues on the internet but I struggle with anxiety, depression, and a few physical ailments that affects my day to day life a large amount. I have been looking into getting a service dog since I was 13 and I have recently (recent as in for upwards of 9 months) been working on starting the process of owner training a service dog for myself. I have recently found a reputable breeder for Labrador Retrievers who are very well established and work with a service dog trainer to evaluate their litters for prospect placements.

I am currently having difficultly finding a job that will take me that is accessible for my physical and mental needs and I am in need of more support in order to afford the prospect.

The breeder has told me for the full price of the puppy will be $1,500, this covers what is listed below, this is copy and pasted from the email I received from the breeder.

"The price includes AKC registration fees, microchip + registration fees, 1st & 2nd puppy vaccines, lots of socialization, early training, crate & house training, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) protocol, sound acclimation, and more."

The other $500 of my goal would go into the rest of the pup's vaccines and medical evaluation in order to set them up for success.

I will be owner training this pup but not without loads of research and I will be consulting a trainer if I am able to find one that I work well with! I have a good amount of experience with dogs and I have my wife and my father to support me when I flare up and am unable to do things.
