San Bernardino Mountains Disaster Relief Fund

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We're reaching out to you today to ask for your help in raising funds for disaster relief for our community. We are raising funds to purchase food and essential items to support our organizing efforts with Operation Mountain Strong and other food/supply distribution locations in Crestline, Twin Peaks, Lake Arrowhead, Running Springs and surrounding areas to ensure that these items go directly to families and community members in the area who are struggling to access critical necessities in the wake of this devastating storm.

We are a group of residents, community members, and business owners in the San Bernardino Mountains. We have been hit hard by a recent unprecedented blizzard that has left our families and community members in dire need of help. The storm has caused us to be trapped in our homes running out of food, our roads are unplowed, and widespread power outages have left many people without heat. In addition, many homes have been damaged by fires and gas leaks, making them unsafe for occupancy.

To make matters worse, Goodwin's and Sons, the only grocery store in Crestline which serves as a vital resource for the community, suffered significant damage from the storm. The roof collapsed due to the weight of the snow, and the store is now closed, leaving many people without access to essential goods. Another grocery store, Jensen's, in Blue Jay has also been red-tagged and closed down due to roof issues from the weight of the snow leaving only one grocery store for several towns in the area.

As a community, we will be recovering from this storm for quite a while. Funds will also be used as we work on community recovery efforts with reputable organizations to support our community after the storm.
