Husky “Levee” struck by hit and run in San Diego
Donation protected
Hi everyone, we are coming together as a community to help raise money for our neighbor Emma, who’s 2.5 year old husky “Levee” was struck by a driver in a black jeep license “WBL” on 09/19/21 on a residential street in North Park. The driver fled the scene and neighbors rushed to help. Levee was alive post hit and run with severe injuries.
Levee will thankfully survive, but underwent emergency hospitalization followed by leg amputation surgery. His injuries included a broken patella, knee, tibia, fibula, and ankle, leading to the leg being unsalvageable.
Emma adopted Levee from the humane society a week and a half ago, and he has quickly become her best friend. We are so glad that Levee is still with us and has a lifetime to enjoy being a beloved dog to Emma. Let’s show our support by rallying together to help Emma with the emergency medical costs, totaling roughly $10,000. Anything helps. Sharing helps. Each one of us can make a difference.
Thank you to all the Hamilton Street neighbors who came out to help, and thank you to those who donate and offer prayers and support. ❤️ Emma and Levee appreciate you!!!
