San Fernando Valley Shooting Victim

Detwon Harris was a father of 3, a brother and a son who touched the lives of many. He was a kindhearted individual who was always willing to share what he had and lend a helping hand. On July 25, on his way to lend his support to a friend, Detwon was shot and killed on the Orange line bus by Gerry Zargoza. Gerry had already fatally shot his father, his brother & a female acquaintance and had wounded several others including his mother, before boarding the bus and taking Detwon’s life. There was no warning that this menace was on the loose and had already gunned down members of his own family. Gerry Zargoza was a terror in the community, taking lives at will, until finally after a 12 hour manhunt, he was taken into custody. Detwon did not deserve to have his life taken in such a senseless manner. We will miss him dearly.
