San Pedro Hot Meal Feeding Program by Maresha Reid

HELPING YOUR BELIZEAN ISLAND FAMILIES! San Pedro Hot Meals Food Program Initially commenced upon the first Mandatory Lockdown in March by Maresha Reid, Chef/Owner of Pirates Treasure Restaurant and Pirates at Secret Beach  on the Beautiful Island of San Pedro Ambergris Caye;  Covid-19 Pandemic  has left many of your island friends and families jobless with Zero Tourism since March of this year basically crippling the income of most which solely depends on tourism. For a period of about 3 months during and after lockdown I managed to assist our island family with just about 15,000 Hot Meals with the warmth help of many including local businesses, residents and our friends and neighbors from afar. Assistance came in many forms, MANY VOLUNTEERS hands on cooking daily serving over 300 plates of hot lunches which was delivered to the needy. Even a Cook Book was created with funds assisting my program which was of great assistance. I volunteered my undivided attention daily with both my businesses being closed, cooking, serving and even delivering. Once we were Covid-19 Free on the island slowly the country reopened internally sending some back to work including myself and things somehow seemed just a tad bit normal and I decided to end the feeding program with the hopes that you all would be open to assisting if we ran into another really bad situation. HERE ARE TODAY! COMPLETE LOCKDOWN AGAIN! It was announced that we may be lockdown for another two to three weeks. I would love to assist my fellow islanders once more but this time around just a little different.
