Sanbis Resort is in need of a booster shot!

Due to COVID closing borders, the resort’s income has been reduced by about 92% for over 18 months and the resort and it’s staff are really suffering (Down to 4 permanent from over 20 in 2019! – plus “King” the resort dog). There are no other jobs for these people to go to and their wives and children will be severely impacted if they lose their jobs.

A nasty weather event didn’t help matters by destroying the ‘over the water’ bar area.

But the staff and owner of Sanbis are resilient and have made the best of a bad situation, thinking they could ride it out but with no tourists expected to travel to the Solomons in the foreseeable future, finances are running low with the owner’s financial reserves almost depleted, despite the Resort operating on a shoe-string budget.

The skeleton staff have faithfully stood by the Resort during this time. They consider themselves the ‘Sanbis family’ but their livelihoods are now threatened if they don’t get a helping hand soon.

Even a small donation of AU$20 (the equivalent of 3 to 4 days of forgoing that takeaway coffee) will make a HUGE difference towards ensuring the resort will survive this crazy pandemic.
