Sandor Szabo, 35, the victim of a brutal and senseless attack early Sunday morning in Queens, NY. was pronounced dead on August 7th, 2018. Sandor sustained devastating brain trauma and had been on life support since the attack. Sandor, from Boca Raton, FL, was visiting NY for a family wedding.
His family and friends are overwhelmed, but not surprised, by the outpouring of love and support from hundreds of people whose lives he touched. Sandor never regained consciousness after his attack and was on life support until Tuesday when he was pronounced dead. He was kept on life support until 11 PM August 8th, so the recipients of his organs could be readied to receive his organs through Live On New York.
Right now, just knowing that he will continue to live through others is the only comfort we can find. The people whose lives he will save and all of you who bothered to take the time to care should know that he was the most loving, kind, talented, energetic, compassionate, considerate person you could ever meet. We were so blessed-as a family that God gave him to us for his short life. He truly was too good to be a part of this evil world.
Our family and Sandor’s friends, want to thank the intensive care staff at New York- Presbyterian hospital. They treated Sandor with so much love and dignity. All donations and proceeds will go directly to help Sandor’s medical & funeral cost, and help bring the man who did this to justice. Our hearts are breaking.
