Sandra Brooks needs help accident fund!

Hi, my Name is Heather. As many of you know my mother Sandra Brooks was hit by a car on her way to work in the early morning of Wednesday, Aug 30. She had to stop and get out of her car to remove a tree branch that was blocking the road. She was hit by another driver and suffered severe injuries. She was transported to VCU (as Mary Washington hospital could not handle the severity of her injuries.) Sandra's right ankle is broken, her left shoulder broken, left rib is broken, left knee dislocated and all ligaments torn and had severe skin trauma/ injury to her left leg. She has received numerous surgeries and skin grafts to try and repair the skin on her left leg and will continue to receive surgeries for the wounds and eventually/ hopefully for the knee repair.

Sandra has been at VCU this whole time and will continue to stay there until she is healed enough to go to a rehab facility. Sandra will most likely stay at the rehab facility for many months as well. Jerry and Shawn (husband and son) have been traveling to be with her as much as able. When Sandra comes home she will have limited mobility and still have a long road to recovery .

We are asking for donations to help with medical cost and to help with improvements to the home so she will be able to move freely and heal in a comfortable clean environment.

Sandra is the most caring kind person I know. She is always willing to help others in need. I know she does not like to ask for help for herself so that is why I am asking on her behalf. We are all so thinkful for all the kind words and help we have received from family and friends . Any amount will help.
