Sandra De Carlo Celebration of Life

Donation protected
post made by Sandra’s 3 surviving children- Sayda, Kaden & Dakoda.

At this time we are selecting an addiction/recovery or womens safe house to donate whatever proceeds are left over.

Sandra was born on June 28th, 1980 in Kelowna BC. Firstborn to her beautiful mother Kerry Koski and her father Richard De Carlo. Sandra would come to have two younger sisters, Lisa and Brianna who she adored. With many uncles, aunts, and cousins running around the girls had a great childhood.

Sandra was dealt a hard hand at life, she experienced more pain and heartbreak than few people see in their whole lifetime. Sandra’s mother Kerry Koski fell victim to drug use and was brutally murdered by Robert Picton, which left a massive hole in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved Kerry, especially her daughters.

Brianna De Carlo, youngest of the girls, passed away suddenly in December 2016 in a horrible accident.

Sandra had 3 beautiful children of her own and when she was an active parent in their lives, she was the best mom anyone could ever wish for. Doting, loving, fierce and courageous can’t even begin to describe what a wonderful mother & person Sandra was.

When Sandra fell victim to drug use herself after receiving a Bipolar Disorder diagnosis, she made the proactive and difficult decision to have her children in the care of their dads. Throughout the years Sandra tried countless times to get mental and substance abuse help, but to no avail.

The only thing Sandra wanted was to get better, to be around her friends and family, to have a long and meaningful life.
With the conditions of the mental health industry in Canada, she was never able to receive the help she so badly needed and deserved.

Sandra Lynn De Carlo tragically passed away on Sunday October 8, 2023 after spending 1 week in the ICU from an apparent overdose. She left behind 3 children and a huge extended family & friends who will miss her deeply.

She will live on forever in the hearts of her sister Brianna and surviving sister Lisa. Her strength living on through her amazing children Dakoda, Sayda and Kaden.

Her heart so genuine and pure, the only place truly fitting for her is with the Angels in the stars. Imprinted on our hearts Forever & Always.

If you cannot donate to help Sandra’s children and family with the cost of the celebration of life, we ask that you share her story.

We urge you to tell an addict that you love them today. Tell them that they matter. Tell them that no matter what, there will always be people who love and care about them. Help end the stigma behind homelessness & addiction.
