Help Sandra's Kidney Transplant Expenses!

Hi, My name is Emmanuel and I am raising this fund on behalf of Sandra Naa Botor Quarshie.

Sandra is a vibrant 28-year-old, currently in her second year at the University of Ghana Legon. Her contagious smile, passion for learning, and desire to make a difference in the world inspire everyone around her.

Sandra was diagnosed with kidney failure on October 1, 2022, and has been on dialysis treatment at least 2 to 3 times every week. The session is very expensive and financially draining for her to go through it. She spends about $1,200 every month for dialysis, blood pressure medications, iron, EPO, blood transfusion most of the time and lab work. Failure to continue with the session means we are at risk of losing her. She does not have much financial support as she lost both her parents at the age of 13. Her sister has been her main support; however, she is financially drained with all the expenses for the treatment making it hard for her to sometimes get her dialysis done. She has not been able to go to school nor do her normal daily activities because the dialysis makes her very weak.

Her condition keeps deteriorating and doctors have recommended a kidney transplant for her. I had the privilege of speaking with Sandra and her Medical Team and they have assured me that the procedure can be done successfully at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana. The procedure from Prep to Post-Surgery will cost about $40,000 for both the Donor and the Recipient.

Her immediate family and cousins are willing to test to see if they match and to donate a kidney for her transplant. Nonetheless, anybody who is touched and would love to donate a kidney for Sandra is warmly welcomed.
