Sandra Spears AKA San

From the Management and staff of Alternative Schools Network (ASN), It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our friend and colleague Sandra Spears, AKA San. San passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022, with her family & close friends by her side. I know this is a shock to everyone and our prayers go out to San's husband, Jory. Jory has been such an incredible support to San these last few weeks; now it's time to support him.

San was a brilliant visionary leader and Program Director of one of ASN's largest programs, the Re-Enrolled Student Program (RSP). She started her career at ASN in September of 2010 and was passionate about her student's welfare, graduating and sustainability after graduation. San always went past the call of duty to ensure the RSP program successfully met yearly program goals and requirements, which she knew would help prevent disruption in the services provided to her vulnerable population of students.

We will long remember San's energy, tenacity and ability to leap tall hurdles while working as the Program Director of RSP for the last seven years. Her smile and humor will be missed at the office, but we'll never forget her 12 years of dedication to the ASN mission to help change the lives of under-privileges kids.
