Sandra Teague's journey to heaven

Hello, my name is Craig Stephens, and I am here to tell you about my mother, Sandra Teague. First things first, my mother had stage four liver cirrhosis, and didn't want to die, in fact, she was in denial. Sandra (Sandy) was a beautiful soul with a soft and sometimes wild adventurous spirit, always looking for another rock to overturn. Sandra survived by her four children, Kathryn Jones, Jonathan Jones, Craig Stephens, and Kelsey Stephens, whom she loved with all her heart and soul
My mother was admitted to the hospital four days ago (8/13/24), and gave no signals that anything was wrong. Within hours of her arrival at the hospital, her condition declined quickly. She couldn't remember her height or her name. The second day she was there, things continued to get worse and she became completely incoherent because of the bilirubin in her blood.
The morning of the third day, the hospital called me to make medical decisions for her because she could no longer speak and was very agitated and not aware of her surroundings. The night of the third day, the hospital called me because she was bleeding internally. They wanted to do a blood transfusion but the problem with the blood transfusion was it would raise her blood pressure and it would cause her to bleed out faster. My mother did not have the ability to form blood clots because of the severity of her liver cirrhosis. The night of the third day, the death rattle came...
The fourth day, we had a conference and it was explained to us that everything they were trying was only making it worse. We were given two choices and examples, choice one was doing any and all measures to keep her alive, thus prolonging suffering. The second choice was to manage pain until she passed peacefully. Choice number two was what our family decided together. The hardest decision I've ever had to make. Early in the morning of the 4th day, my mother entered her journey to heaven.
I have been shouldered with the responsibility of cremation arrangements and setting up a celebration of life. I am the father of three beautiful daughters. Unfortunately, a month ago I lost my job and as a result have no money coming in for these expenses. As you can see this put me in a tough spot. I just want to give my mother what she wanted but it is nearly impossible while supporting five people without a job and no money. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated. I am creating this GoFundMe because I want to get my mom home and to be able to bring family together to celebrate her life the way she deserved and wanted.
