Sandsational at Dinosaur Park

Tax deductible
This year the Parent Voice has selected the Riverside Park Conservancy as the beneficiary of our Global Philanthropy Project. The Riverside Park Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to the upkeep of gardens, playgrounds, dog runs, tennis courts, and other community areas, works to preserve the natural landscape and monuments of one of our city’s most iconic parks.

Our mission this year has two parts: this month, we will raise money for Sandsational, covering the cost of refilling the sandboxes at Dinosaur Park with fresh sand for the new season. Then, on May 17th, RMS’s students will volunteer in the park with the Conservancy team to refill the sandboxes. In the meantime, teachers are excited to connect this project to their lessons.

We hope that our students will be able to understand the value of caring for our natural urban landscape, while seeing our community's contribution lead directly to having a fun playground for all to enjoy. The Conservancy depends solely on private donors to do its work. Nearly half the cost of caring for Riverside Park is met through donations to the Conservancy. Please consider contributing to help maintain Riverside Park, which has played such an enriching role in our children's school lives!
