Sandy Lee

Hi, my name is Virginia and I am raising funds for our friend, Sandy Lee. Sandy is a 65 year old founding member of the Buddhist Sangha in Albuquerque and has been an active member for the past 30 years. Recently, Sandy has been struggling with severe depression to the point of hospitalization, but was recently released. However, he was almost immediately notified that he would have to move out of his tiny apartment. Sandy has been living on about $900/ mo and now finds himself as an older person of few means. He also takes a number of medications for health problems. His cat recently had an accident and had emergency vet care totaling about $2000. In the course of trying to makes ends meet on a meager income, Sandy has now incurred bills totaling about $10,000. He is a highly educated man (Berkeley and Harvard), who has contributed much of his time and expertise to the community and should not be left to become a “throwaway” elderly person in our society. Donations would be utilized to help him become debt-free, as well as move into an affordable living situation. Please, can you help us help Sandy to get back on his feet?
