Help Rebuild Sanibel Eyecare
Donation protected
Hello,
Our names are Felix Tao and Kelly Van. We are graduates of the Illinois College of Optometry, class of 2000. We are starting this fundraising campaign in hopes of helping our classmate, Dr. Phong Michael Pham. Not long ago, Dr. Pham lost his wife, Dr. Elaine Quan – also our classmate, after a courageous 6-year battle with cancer. For the last twenty years, Drs. Pham and Quan built a life with their three children in Fort Myers, FL, and nurtured a successful private practice on the barrier island of Sanibel, off Florida’s southwest coast. Sadly, about a month after Elaine’s passing, Sanibel Eyecare was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. The category 4+ storm devastated the communities and businesses on the barrier islands and the coastal areas, including Dr. Pham's practice. With much optimism, Dr. Pham would like to rebuild his practice on the mainland. Rebuilding has been slow as the affected communities are still recovering from the hurricane's damage. Dr. Pham and Dr. Quan have spent much of their careers establishing a loyal patient base. Now, all Dr. Pham needs is to have a new practice location. We are searching for new or used optometric equipment, handheld ophthalmic instruments, or small office equipment. Please see this link for a suggested list of items needed: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F084CAFAC22A1F49-sanibel
Many of you have been very responsive to our campaign and we greatly appreciate it. Many of you have also asked to make a monetary contribution to help Dr. Pham. Thank you so much! Your contribution will help Dr. Phong Michael Pham re-build and re-establish Sanibel Eyecare. All funds will go directly to Dr. Pham for this purpose.
