Sanix World Youth Rugby Tournament Japan 2024
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Olly and I am 16. I have been selected, along with 28 others players to represent England in the Sanix world youth rugby tournament in Japan. This event is one of the most prestigious under 18s Rugby tournaments and the chance of a life time.
The tournament takes at the Global Arena in Fukuoka, over 10 days. We will play 16 teams from across the world including Korea, Uruguay, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Fiji, France and of course Japan.
I have been playing rugby since I was 4 years old at Penryn Rugby Club in Cornwall and aspire to play professional rugby. I currently play for Penryn Colts, Truro College and have been selected to be apart of the u17 Exeter Chiefs Academy.
Through playing rugby I like to think I have developed teamwork, confidence, respect, discipline and sportsmanship and these skills have helped me through tough periods in my life such as 3 major operations and a life long medical condition, as I was born with a cleft lip and palate.
Due to the dates of the tournament my exams have also been brought forward by several months so I am going to have to balance extra college work alongside my rugby training and commitments.
The funds will be used to support the cost of the trip including travel to the Global arena in Fukuoka, accommodation, food and rugby kit for the 10 day trip.
I would deeply appreciate any contribution and should you wish to follow my progress throughout the tournament, you can do so through the live streams on YouTube.
