San Jacinto Ecuador Rebuilding Fund
Donation protected
Ecuador is rich in many ways, but it's people are not. The lives of our friends and neighbors are simple, and uncomplicated. They live day to day, and don't wish for things, they make do with what they have and are happy with it. On April 16 the 7.8 earthquake took much from these people we love, for some it took their homes, and others it took their places of work. They don't need much, in some cases as little as $50 could make their home a safer place, or replace a needed appliance. There are many who are collecting for Ecuador, I would like to collect ONLY for people I call friends and neighbors, those who have welcomed me and Mike into their country and their homes. At the moment we know of at least three families we will collect for, and anything extra will help several smaller business and families who need a leg up after this unexpected tragedy. (One restaurant said they lost $800 in inventory) I wish I could have set this up earlier, as I'm sure some of you have already donated, but we were without power for 11 days after the earthquake. Any amount big or small will be appreciated, a little goes a long way here. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, no gift is too small. We are so blessed to have been accepted into this community and we just want to help, please help us rebuild. Paige & Mike

goFUNDme wants a little more info to make sure who we are and where the money is going. Here are the answers to the questions they asked.
1.) Who are you? We are Paige and Mike Adams
2.) Where are you from? We are from the United States. We've lived all over but we own a home in Greensboro, NC.
3.) Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for? We are living in a small town (San Jacinto) in Ecuador that was damaged by a large 7.8 Earthquake. The people we are raising money for are the people in town who have have had major damage to their homes / businesses.
4.) How the funds will be spent? Every penny we collect (including goFUNDme's cut) will go to repair the homes and businesses of local San Jacinto townspeople.
5.) How you intend to get the funds to those in need? We will physically give them the money for repairs or buy the materials and give them to them.
