August 25, 2016: “terminal cancer, life expectancy 4-12 months.” Devastating news for anyone, but especially heartbreaking for a 36 year old mother of 3 young children, all under 10 years old. All her dreams and hopes for the family’s future crushed with this unimaginable news. As one can imagine, there was no going back to normal life, only to prepare for the fight. To enable the family to do that, we want to help by alleviating their financial burden.
Sanna is a beautiful lady, inside and out, with a heart of gold. She was enjoying life to the fullest with the love of her life, her American husband Carl, and their 3 beautiful children: Ester (4), Eliah (8) and Freja (9). She has homeschooled the children and treasured her new homeland, the United States, while still maintaining a close connection to her roots and close-knit family in Finland.
Sanna’s diagnosis was terminal cancer of the stomach. The disease has progressed rapidly; she is currently being fed via feeding tube and is under strong pain medication. She is weak, but fighting for each and every day...finding her strength from her family and her unwavering trust in God. Carl has cut his work hours to spend more time with his wife. In addition, Sanna’s family flew in from Finland to try to maintain some degree of normalcy for the children.
Even though the family has insurance, Carl’s inability to work full-time while bills are piling up, has caused tremendous financial stress. They need your help. Any financial support is greatly appreciated. Please share this page. Thank you in advance.
