Meigh Community Pre School is situated in the village of Meigh beside the Community Centre. We are a purpose built Pre school which opened in 1983 and moved into our current building in 2000.
We aim with the help of parents to provide a safe, secure, happy and stimulating environment for children to develop through play and to build on the knowledge he/she has gained at home. The ethos of the Pre-School is welcoming, supportive, friendly and secure environment for the children in the absence of their parents/carers.
The group is established to promote a play-based learning environment for all children of the area of Meigh and its surrounding environment within County Armagh without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education. In particular to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play with the right of parents / carers to take responsibility for, and to become involved in the activities of the group, and to promote the preservation of health of the beneficiaries and to support the values of principles of the Early Years. The funds raised will be used to support the Preschool to continue to deliver a wide range of opportunities for the children during these unprecedented times.
