"Santa" Deryl McKenzie heart transplant
Donation protected
Help us raise $100,000.00 for our medical expenses and any future expenses we may come across. (Heart pump and all medications)
Last week (May 16, 2018) Deryl was told he only had 1/3 of a heart functioning at 20%. He can't walk and is very weak. He has been at Memorial Hermann in the med center for two weeks. He is undergoing testing so that he may have a LVAD (heart pump) put in to hold him until he can get a heart transplant. LVAD is very expensive and the medicine can run up to $4,000/month for just 1 of the medications he would be required to take. If you could help with any amount it would be very appreciated.
Now the next journey begins on October 21st 2018 Deryl got a brand new heart. We have lived at Memorial Hermann downtown for the past 7 months the people here are just wonderful they treat you like a king. But all that being said we still need a lot of help to be able to catch back up and try to stay even. We spent a little over $5,000 just in parking. and Debbie will probably not be able to work again for at least afford another 4 months till they get me in a position that I can be by myself. I appreciate everybody that has donated and everybody that is going to donate with your help and support we hope to get our lives. I would like you to keep the donor's family in your prayers..
If the heart had to come when it did I would not be here today. God is great and I know he's carrying me on the shoulders right now.
God Bless You.
