Santa's Grotto for John Burns Primary School

Hi, my name is Rich, and I'm raising money to hold a “Santa’s Grotto” for the children of John Burns Primary School in Wandsworth.

The school is only small, with one class per year, but it is an outstanding school that provides a beautiful nurturing environment for its students ranging from 2yrs to 11 yrs.

The school works hard to fund trips and extras for its students, with parents giving what they can to help pay for any initiatives they can, but with times being what they are, many events have had to be cancelled in the last year due to a lack of funds. Student morale is low at the moment. As is the case with many schools, the children are impacted by financial difficulties at home, and many have confided that they are aware "Santa might not be able to come round this year". The PTA has devoted itself to raising money where possible and worked tirelessly to raise what it can to support the school, but the money just isn't there.

With the headmaster's permission, I cleaned out and restored a facilities shed in the school and kitted it out with a festive backdrop, fairy lights, a Christmas sound effects, ready for the students to visit Santa. But we do not have the funds for a small gift for each student.

There are approximately two hundred students in the school, and I’m trying to raise £625 in 3 weeks to buy each student a gift worth £2.50. With your help, we could bring Christmas cheer and hope to the little ones who need some right now.
