Santia Feketa Memorial Scholarship
Donation protected
In light of the recent and tragic loss of my sweet Santia Feketa, I needed to use my own gifts to deal with the loss and find a way to honor her. As an education advocate and a charter school founder, I connected with Santia's passion for teaching. She volunteered at my daughter's school (where her brother also attended in the same grade), attended IRSC where I serve as a Trustee, and wanted to come teach for me when I opened my own charter school. While she will not be able to complete those goals, her spirit CAN live on through helping others acheive their own similar goals. I have established a Memorial Scholarship in her name at Indian River State College, where students desiring a teaching degree can be funded. Her name will live on! 100% of donations will be used to support the endowment that will live on in perpetuity if our goal is met. If the goal is not met, we will fund as many students as we can for as long as we can. I will ensure the correct scholarship account is credited, and that the criteria to win such scholarship is set up to benefit students similar to her.
