Sara Espinoza Medical Emergency Expenses Fund

Hello, my name is Sara Espinoza, thank you for taking this moment to read my story. I am raising funds to pay for my medical emergency expenses. In January of 2023 I went to Uvalde Memorial Hospital Emergency Room because my sugar diabetes was very high. I then went to my primary doctor in San Antonio, Tx., he did a full exam, and he treated my diabetes. He changed my initial medications to different ones, and prescribed me insulin. My Primary Dr. referred me to a Nephrologist (Kidney Specialist), an Oncologist, a Gastroenterologist, an Ophthalmologist who ruled out Glaucoma and who referred me to a second Ophthalmologist that is currently treating my diabetic retinopathy on both my eyes. My Ophthalmologist has diagnosed me with Severe Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy OD. and OS. (on both eyes), Diabetic Macular Edema OD.

Ophthalmologist has performed lazer treatment on my both eyes. Avastin injections have been performed in both eyes.

The diabetes has affected my eyes and my kidneys. My eyesight has been affected. I also have pain on both of my shoulders, especially in the left shoulder. I have pain on my left

hip, it makes me very uncomfortable.

On October 12, 2023, I accidentally fell down to the ground. I fractured my right ankle, I broke a piece of bone on my left pinky finger, I broke a piece of bone (bone spur) on my left elbow,

and I hurt my left knee and the area under the left knee. I went to Uvalde Memorial Hospital Emergency Room on October 13, 2023 and they took multiple x-rays. At the hospital they gave me a set of crutches, they placed a brace in my right ankle, and a stent on my left pinky finger. Then, I went to my Primary Dr. in San Antonio, Tx. Then, I went to a Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon in San Antonio,Tx., I also went to a Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgeon in San Antonio,Tx.

I have Dr. appointments in the very near future. I have to see my Ophthalmologist again, my Oncologist, my Nephrologist(kidney specialist), my Gastroenterologist Associate Dr., my Ankle Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon, my Hand Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon, a Hip Specialist, and a Shoulder Specialist. I need an Ultrasound performed on my two kidneys. I need physical therapy performed on my right ankle.

I have been unable to work for 3 weeks. I just started to work on

November 6, 2023. I have used all my regular funds to pay for these emergency medical expenses.

I have had excessive medical expenses, and I have outstanding and incoming medical expenses. I will be accumulating new medical expenses due to all the appointments that I need to meet very soon.

Money donated will be used for medical expenses, ankle physical therapy, ultrasound for my kidneys, gasoline, food, when I see my doctors in San Antonio,TX. and in Uvalde, TX.
