Sara's car fund

Hello,

I believe everyone who is seeing this probably already knows me. My name is Sara, and I live in the beautiful town (city?) of Bend, Oregon. I make my living driving for DoorDash and Uber Eats. Yesterday (7/9/23) as I was on my way to drop off an order, I was t-boned by a truck who was running a red light. The fault was entirely his, and thankfully he did not dispute it when the police ticketed him.

Praise the Lord, I was not hurt too badly (sore/stiff muscles) and am so thankful it was not worse. The same can't be said for my car and livelihood. The tow truck driver who towed it said it will most likely be 'totaled' by the other driver's insurance company. I spoke with them today and they said they are working on contacting the other driver.

My car was a 2006 Toyota Corolla, and being that old I don't expect to get much for it from the insurance company. Because of this, I'm not sure if or when I will be able to work again. I am looking into getting a rental which I will hopefully be reimbursed for once the settlement is finalized, but until then I have to pay for that out of pocket. This is the least of my worries, as my amazing little brother Daniel has offered to help me with that.

My real concern right now is being able to get a replacement car when all is said and done, and paying the bills until then.

I don't ask this sort of thing lightly and have put a lot of thought and prayer into whether I should do so, but if anyone can afford to, and feels led to help me with this, it would be an incredible blessing to me.

I would also greatly appreciate prayers to give this all to God and trust Him and have peace about it. I know that I can trust Him, He has taken such good care of me over the years, but when it boils down to it and I'm scared about something I sometimes tend to try to lean on my own strength and abilities rather than what I should do, and lean on Him.
