Sarah Buhler Cancer Treatment Fund

Hello Everyone!

As you may have heard, our dear mom Sarah has been diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma cancer. She will be required to undergo six rounds of chemotherapy treatment, which has presented some unexpected expenses for us as a family. We are hoping you can help!

We know how much everyone loves mom (and dad!). For decades now, they have continued to open their home and hearts with warmth and love (and food!). Mom's beautiful decorations--always right for the season!-- make it a place where people want to be. She never judges and is beyond generous. How many of us have received one of her homemade cards over the years? Or some decor arrangement? And did I say food?! She is definitely a giver!

We have needed to purchase an inclining bed and new bedding, as well as an air purifier. She will need to be in a room (we've prepared) that is constantly sterile, since her immune system will be severely compromised, so we will need to hire cleaners (since we daughters all work and dad will be mostly focused on care for mom). There will also be many gas bills (yikes!) and parking expenses for hospital visits. It's difficult to know what the cost for these will be. Additionally, while the government covers the cost of chemo, they do not cover the cost of some meds needed to combat the side effects from chemo. With dad retired and mom being forced into retirement, they won't have adequate coverage.
