Crowdfunding for Sarah Packwood's memorial service

This is a crowdfunding appeal to raise funds to set up and run Sarah Packwood’s memorial service, in the UK on December 1st 2024.

As the celebrant who oversaw the service of blessing for Sarah Packwood after her handfasting to Brett Clibbery in 2017, I am working with Sarah’s friends to organise this memorial following her tragic death alongside her late husband Brett.

Sarah touched the lives of so many people globally and we are hoping we can all come together, both in person and online, to remember this extraordinary soul.

The contributions from this GoFundMe collection will be used to fund Sarah’s memorial service. This will include costs such as paying for the venue, setting up livestreaming and/or a video link for those who can't make it on the day, decorating the church, paying musicians and a modest reception afterwards.

The current estimate of costs for setting up and running the memorial service is c.£4,000. If you feel you are in a position to donate towards the costs of setting up Sarah’s service, we would be very grateful.

Regardless of whether you are able to make a financial contribution to this GoFundMe, all are welcome to join us at the memorial service (in the UK or online).

PS. If we have surplus funds, once all invoices from the service are settled, any remaining funds will be split between disaster relief, social justice and environmental causes Sarah supported.

We will post an update to this fundraiser, a few weeks after the service, once we have established whether we are in a position to make any onward donations.
