Help Sarah Malinoski fight cancer

Our friend Sarah Malinoski, who serves Chautauqua as Manager of the Institution's Schools of Performing and Visual Arts (and has worked at Chautauqua since January 2004), was diagnosed with breast cancer on Jan. 27, 2023. She recently had a double mastectomy to remove the cancer, but doctors later discovered the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. She is now undergoing eight rounds of intensive chemotherapy with five weeks of daily radiation in Buffalo, N.Y., and is unable to work full-time at Chautauqua.

We've set a fundraising goal of $5,000 to help pay for accommodations and travel for Sarah's frequent appointments in Buffalo, including a modest AirBnB and gas for the three-hour roundtrip drive. We hope this support alleviates some of the enormous stress and challenges she's facing and allows her to focus more of her energy on time spent with her two young boys, ages 7 and 10.
