Help a friend financially through their Cancer Treatment

Hi all, my names Kat and I’m trying to help fundraise to help support my beautiful who has just undergone mastectomy surgery to remove her breast Cancer.

Due to this and having time of work and with the upcoming of Chemo and further reconstruction surgery, she is struggling to see how she will be able to pay bills and support her family whilst going through one of the toughest times that can ever be thrown in your direction.

A few weeks ago she found a lump in her breast, a couple of weeks later she was in surgery having her breast removed.

Although the Cancer is treatable, the treatment and time off work to undergo the necessary further treatment, means that her work will only pay her SSP, which is not going to cover the bills let alone feed them! I am totally gobsmacked that there is nothing they or anyone can do to help her, it just seems mad to me.

The hospital has said she will need to start chemo in the next few weeks, which will be ongoing for 6 months, with this taking a toll on her body and mind means she is unable to do her job at it is a physical role.

Anyone who knows anyone who has ever undergone Chemo will know the effects it can have on you and not being able to work and earn a living whilst undergoing her treatment is going to add more stress to an already awful and stressful situation.

I know that when you may not know someone an ask for support and help can be a big ask. I wouldnt do it if i could find another way to support her.

I am appealing to all my friends and family to help support my beautiful friend through this awful time. Your help and support can help make this happen and it is greatly appreciated. She is not aware i am asking for help as she is a very proud person but in this situation, being a friend and trying to help relieve one stressful element to allow her to recover is only an option i can at least try to do something about.
