Celebrate Sarah Rippetoe's Life of Love
Tax deductible
A mother, a wife, a sister, a friend, a daughter, an auntie… to me, my Aunt Sarah will always be more than any one of these. She resonated with kindness in her thoughts, laughter in her voice and generosity in her actions. In herself, and those around her, she expressed a great love for life that, for her, was cut all too short.
After a strenuous battle with cancer, Aunt Sarah passed away on December 28th, 2013. Whenever I talk with my three cousins who lost their mother that day, I marvel at their resiliency, their courage and the goodness each of them shines into the world. They carry on her legacy of kindness, laughter and generosity better than anyone I know.
It’s that same legacy, and loving life, that I hope to celebrate by buzzing my hair on January 28th, 2025. The hair will be donated to Locks of Love, an organization that provides custom made wigs to children with hair loss all the way to their 21st birthdays. To commemorate my Aunt Sarah further, I’m raising funds for Gilda’s Club Madison, an organization that supports patients and families as they persevere in the fight against cancer. You can learn more about each organization here:
Please consider donating or sharing this message as you feel able. Above all else though, I hope your day is filled with laughter and love, just as Auntie Sarah would’ve wanted!
