Sarah Tafoya

Hello, my name is Morgan, Sarah’s cousin, and I am advocating for Sarah’s family to the wider community for some much-needed assistance during this tragic time. Our special woman was taken from us by the hands of another human and there is a long path to be traveled in order to not only lay her to rest but also bring her justice. She deserves for all of us to fight for her, with the tenacity, Sarah has always fought for each of us. We are dedicated in not letting her name or legacy leave this world or our hearts, despite no longer having her physical presence with us on earth.

Sarah was not just another beautiful face with sharp wit. She was a loyal daughter, a loving sister, a caring cousin, and most importantly a proud mommy to 4 beautiful children. She leaves behind a treasure trove of wonderful memories to remember her by. We would be remiss to not laugh while enjoying in these memories because that’s what Sarah often provided. She knew how to lighten any darkness with her beautiful smile, loving embrace, and hilarious, albeit sometimes inappropriate, sense of of humor. That is how we would like to remember her by.

The goal of the these gracious donations are as follows:

We would like to be able to provide a beautiful service, celebration and bring her beautiful some back home to her resting place.

We will be traveling to Kansas City, as a family, from Colorado many times in the foreseeable future, to both, bring her home to us and be able to make our unwavering presence known at each hearing and court date. Until the individual who took her from us is sentenced. This individual is responsible for her untimely death and we are steadfast in being able to witness him pay his justly consequence.

We would also like to host a celebration of life in order to commemorate and celebrate such a special woman in all of our worlds. She would have wanted one last party and we intend to be able to give her just that.

The remaining funds, if any, will be put into a Trust Account for her children.

Unfortunately, due to the manner of this tragic event… certain steps have to be taken within the legal entities before we are able to bring our sweet girl home and, consequently, set dates for services and celebrations. Once we know this information, we will be announcing far and wide so that all of those who loved and cherished Sarah Lynne Tafoya (Grindle) will be able to join us in honoring and partying with Sarah, one last time, the way she would of wanted.
