Sarah Thorne - Costa Rica Discipleship program

Hello! My name is Sarah Thorne and I’m fundraising to attend a discipleship program provided by Atlasabroad and MissionGo in Costa Rica.

Each year the Senior class at my school, Linville Hill Christian School, goes on a missions trip to Kenya. However my class was unable to go to Kenya due to COVID vaccine requirements and we instead went to Costa Rica. I believe that God changed our destination for a reason and one of those reasons was so I could meet the Gordley family and hear about the discipleship program they provide. I returned from my Senior trip feeling called by God to return and serve the people of Costa Rica alongside the Gordley family.

I prayed about it and know that God wants me to attend the discipleship program in Costa Rica and that He has great plans for me there. While there I will be learning Spanish so I can reach the the people of Costa Rica better, have Bible classes that will strengthen my faith and draw me closer to God, and have an amazing opportunity to serve the church and people of San Jose, Costa Rica.
