Sarah & Jacob Fajer Eduction Fund
Donation protected
On Sunday, July 24, 2016, Sarah and Jacob Fajer unexpectedly lost their father, Salo. Salo was the ultimate father and co-worker and it is us, his co-workers at Digital Guardian, who are sponsoring this GoFundMe effort. We want to raise money to support his daughter, Sarah’s and his son, Jacob’s, educational needs. Salo was a wonderful dad and instilled the value of a great education in his children from an early age. Jacob enjoys history and science and recently toured many of the American Civil War battlefields with his Dad. Sarah is Salo's “techie” in the making and she enjoys design, 3D printing and computer programming.
Since joining Digital Guardian in 2014, Salo commuted to Massachusetts from Virginia on a weekly basis, but despite being away from his family physically, he was never really “away”. The end-of-day call home from the office was his routine, where updates on the school day or summer camp were discussed in great detail. Homework via Skype or Facetime was commonplace. And the kids always knew exactly where Dad was at any given moment because they tracked him with apps like Waze or Google Maps. And regardless of work commitments, Salo always made it home for the most important events – birthdays, Scout Camping trips and award ceremonies at school – to name a few.
Our CEO, Ken Levine, is fond of saying that Salo was the smartest guy he knew. Regardless of the topic. From business to gardening; technology to astrology; politics to religion; Ken constantly peppered Salo with questions, and Salo always had the answers. He would want his children to have the opportunity to be the smartest people they could be, to continue their education and experience a lifetime of learning. That can be an expensive endeavor today, so we hope the funds we raise will honor Salo’s memory and relieve some of the future financial burden of Sarah and Jacob's continued education.
