Sarah Goes To Japan

When I was in 3rd grade, I wrote a paper about how if I could live anywhere in the world I would live in Japan. Fast forward 10 years and I am making my dream a reality but I need your help. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Northern Colorado. I am working towards a degree in International Affairs with a Minor in Japanese. In March I will be attending Chukyo University in Nagoya Japan for a semester abroad. Unfortunately I don't have parents to support my dreams. My mom passed away when I was 12, my Dad passed away when I was 15. This is where I need your help!
If I have learned anything about dreams its that with enough hard work and help from others, they are very achievable. I was able to work hard enough to get into UNC and I was fortunate to get financial aid and scholarships. I have been accepted into Chukyo University through ISEP. Studying abroad cost quite a bit more than just going to college in-state, and on top of that Japan is a pretty expensive country. This is where I need your help. Between airfare and the differences in fees and living expenses I need an additional $3,000. It is $1,500 for the airfare and $1,500 for the other expenses that include my visa, in country health insurance, etc.
I will be chronicling my journey on http://sarahgoestojapan.tumblr.com/. I'll be posting in March 2015.
