Sarahjane's trip to Kenya 2017
Donation protected
Last year I had the privilege to volunteer my time and my nursing skills in Kenya, where I worked with a close knit group of friends to provide free medical aid and to share Christ's love to a community of derserving people with in the poorer areas of Kenya.
Last year we medically treated over 1800 people for free
The doctors there have been on strike for many months. We help provide treatment for typhoid, malaria, cholera, and general medical aid.
This year I'm heading over again to provide them same level of care and attention, we have done this with limited funds. I have had a few people ask me to set up a go fund me page. So here we go!
I'm hoping to raise funds to provide woman's hygiene packs to all woman we treat. Oral hygiene packs for children, craft supplies and possibly a sewing machine to promote business and an opportunity for woman to have means to provide for their families. I also partnering with Days for Girls to provide reusable feminine hygiene packs for woman and children who are not able to afford these basic needs. These kits are $10 each and provide hygiene and supplies for up to 2-4 years if cleaned and looked after appropriately.
Funds will only be utilised specific for this trip in May 2017
