Sarah's Emergency Back to Work Fund

Hi, my name's Sarah, and I need help. I have been in grad school for engineering, but I have to take some time off from school to get work immediately. But I need help paying rent and bills until a job comes through.

So, what happened?

I have been pushing through deep depression my entire life. I was hoping engineering grad school would give me the career boost that would allow me to fully grow into the science communicator I want to be, but I knew engineering would be hard. I knew I couldn't push through school with my mental health in shambles. I started trauma therapy at the same time as grad school... It turns out that was too much for me to handle. I have to choose between school and my mental health, and, since that's not really a choice, I have to back away from school to focus on healing.

Now I am looking for full-time work that will allow me to continue my healing journey and return to school soon, but until I start work I am struggling to pay rent. Through all this, I have been working and continue to work two part-time jobs, but even combined they are not enough.
